NOSEG - CREATING A CO-OPERATION NETWORK IN THE NORDIC COUNTRIES FOR COMPREHENSIVE MODELING AND SIMULATION OF WINDPOWER

The aim of the NOSEG project is to create a research network in the nordic countries, that is able to examine research problems related to windpower comprehensively, during the whole production chain without forgetting the environmental consequences.

The organisations participating in the project are: University of Vaasa, Vaasa UAS, Novia UAS, Umeå University, Narvik University College and Tampere technical University. See more under organisations.

During the project the network will develop by using flow-calculations and wind-tunnel measurements along with traditional estimation and modeling of wind resources and virtual reality modeling of environmental impacts. The project also researches more efficient simulation methods of the electrical grid and strive to combine the microgrid being built in the project as a part of the simulation environment.
